At Twin Lakes our Junior Golf Programs feature the games of DiscoverGolf which are designed to help the kids learn crucial skills through PLAY.
The 8-week Spring Season is a one day per week, 60 minute per day experience offered on Wednesdays or Saturdays. Junior Golfers aged 5-6 will learn golf skills by participating in games expressly designed for their age group. They will learn putting, chipping, and full swing skills while enjoying a social atmosphere based on games and play. Through competition and play they will learn patience, strategy, pressure, focus, and team building. It will be the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat.
Getting started the Juniors will use SNAG golf equipment and small tennis balls that make learning to swing and create ball flight a lot easier. As they develop their skills, we will transition them to using junior golf clubs and real golf balls.
Our Junior Camps are NOT a "line up and lecture" affair! While we have rules and social norms we expect the Juniors to adhere to, the prime goal of our Junior Programs is fun, learning through play, and becoming part of a social group who share a love for all the game of golf has to offer.
